This early residential project explores how storytelling can shape the interior experience. Inspired by the cinematic landscape of Dune, the design transforms the provided architectural framework of the Milam House into a warm, immersive desert-inspired living environment.

Working within the existing architectural foundation and key structural elements established by the project brief, the design focuses on interior atmosphere, spatial identity, material expression, custom furniture integration, and visualization. Through warm earth tones, tactile textures, layered lighting, and a central interior courtyard experience, the project reinterprets the residence as a contemporary desert oasis.

The project emphasizes mood-driven design, furniture language, and immersive 3D visualization — translating a sci-fi inspired narrative into a cohesive residential interior experience.

Custom Pieces, Integrated Experience

Sculpted Objects Within the Landscape

Furniture became a key design element in translating the cinematic inspiration of Dune into a livable residential environment. Forms were developed to feel grounded, quiet, and sculptural — drawing from desert landscapes, monumental architecture, and minimalist restraint. Through custom furniture concepts, integrated millwork, and carefully composed material palettes, the project creates a unified dialogue between object, architecture, and atmosphere.
